Penumbra: Overture is a first-person survival horror game developed by Frictional Games and released on PC in 2007. Penumbra is the infancy of a paradigm that is refined in later titles published by Frictional Games, and its immaturity is going to be difficult for many people to overlook. You have some ideas in Penumbra that work well enough, while you have other ideas that simply don’t, and the differences between them will be hard to miss.
